The legal work for the contract (also known as “missives“) and the conveyancing (the process of transferring title) will be dealt with by one of our very experienced and highly knowledgeable conveyancing solicitors. We will obtain all the usual searches etc. and do our best to ensure that any potential issues are identified and dealt with as early as possible. If you have a mortgage, we will liaise with your lenders and arrange for your mortgage to be paid off and for the discharge to be registered in the Land Register of Scotland. Our aim is to ensure that your sale transaction is progressed as quickly and smoothly as possible, whilst keeping in regular contact with you so that you are fully informed and advised at all times.
