The ESPC has launched a new charter that aims to raise standards in the property industry and to provide commitment to customer excellence.

The ESPC expects companies that have signed up to their charter to raise the bar in terms of expertise and customer service. The charter encompasses all elements of property transactions for both home buyers and sellers.
Clients who choose a solicitor and estate agents firm that has signed up to the charter guarantees 2-factor quality regulation to provide excellence in client care. These firms are already regulated by the Law Society of Scotland and are duty bound to do their best for their client. The ESPC Charter now raises that bar even higher.
The property solicitors and estate agents at ELP Arbuthnott McClanachan have always aimed to provide their customers with excellent service, however, we feel by committing to the ESPC’s new charter it shows our commitment to high standards of expertise and service. It also gives new clients the confidence that we are a company that can be trusted to work in their best interests.
By choosing an ESPC chartered firm, every part of your transaction will be carried out by the one firm as we have estate agents and specialist conveyancing solicitors.
The ESPC charter states:
You’ll get a full breakdown of the costs involved which will include the legal fees, LBTT (indication) and additional costs. In addition, your conveyancing solicitor will ensure that the required identity checks are completed prior to an offer being submitted wherever possible.
You’ll get a named person within the firm to be your main point of contact and provide expert advice on the purchase based on market knowledge and up-to-date property comparisons. All ESPC firms have access to the extensive ESPC archive, which provides an invaluable source of reference when making offers, providing real-time updates on the market. Your Chartered solicitor estate agent will ensure that this knowledge is used to help in making the right offer on properties to suit your individual circumstances.
If you are thinking about buying or selling a new home and want to use a firm of solicitors and estate agents that are committed to the high standards set in the ESPC charter, then please do get in touch.
